The beam is monitored at a beam profile monitor, beam position monitor and integrated current monitor at the chicane section which immediately follows the normal-conducting RF gun. At this moment, a train of 35 bunches is generated with the RF gun. The beam energy is approximately 3.7 MeV and the total beam charge is approximately 5.0 nC (0.14 nC/buncch).
The beam is not yet delivered into the superconducting (SC) cavities. Subsequent test acceleration of this beam with the SC cavities is scheduled next month (2012/4).
