One of the important topics of the ILC design studies is to figure out the layout of the accelerator components in the underground tunnel. This requires us to establish the clearance among each of the components as well as with respect to the inner walls of the tunnel. Two sets of wooden mock-ups were built so as to present part of the inner surfaces of the ILC tunnel (inner diameter tentatively set to be 5.7m), and have been placed in the underground accelerator housing of the STF. Scientists and engieers in October, 2010 gathered to assess the clearance issues between the ILC cryomodules and tunnel walls.
