The baseline superconducing cavity (TESLA-like design) enclosed within a magnetic shield to use for cavity-packaging. This is special a set-up for validating the shielding performance of this component. In vertical testing of cavities, the vertical cryostat usually has a large magnet shield on its own, so that the cavities can be inserted without any extra magnetic shield, and instead, with many monitor devices. However, once a cavity is packaged for use in a cryomodule, it is this magnet shield shown in the photo that protects the cavity from stray magnetic fields.
