Dear Colleagues,
I am announcing that the CCB response, with regards to the latest
Change Request for the Parameter section, is now posted at -
http://www.linearcollider.org/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?cache=cache&media=bcd:ccb-com-param20060508.pdf
The change request was submitted by J.M.Paterson and N.Toge on
April 21, 2006, and it relates to the following three issues:
(1) Minor textual improvement of the Baseline Parameter descriptions.
(2) Creation of a "Layout" subsection within the Parameter section.
(3) Introduction of the "approximately 1.2km-long positron insert", which
adjusts the path length of positron beams. It is needed for ensuring
the collision of electron and positron beams under a variety of bunch
patterns.
This change request was classified as Class 1. After some interactions
between the requester and the members of CCB and GDE Area Leaders,
clarifications were made in the proposed text, and an amendment was
submitted by the requesters on April 28. CCB accepts and approves the
change request in this form amended by the requester.
An updated the Parameter (now with the Layout) section,
together with all-in-one PDF and MSWord files, are posted under
the area for the Latest Official Version of BCD at:
http://www.linearcollider.org/wiki/doku.php?id=bcd:bcd_home
as
bcd.08may2006.doc
bcd.08may2006.pdf
params.08may2006.doc
Related information is available at the following URI:

CCB has taken this opportunity to offer some remarks on implications
of this Change Request. They are detailed in the latter half of
the CCB response letter ccb-com-param20060508.pdf, whose URI is
quoted earlier.
With best regards,

ps. Technical note. Starting with this revision (May 8, 2006), the
"edit tracking" within the "all-in-one" Word file is no longer
maintained. The "edit tracking" is still maintained for
section-by-section files for individual Area Nodes and Global
Nodes, however.
